Transcript

Retrieve the transcript for a single earnings call.

Returns the transcript for one earnings call. The level parameter selects the shape of the response: a single text blob (level 1), speaker-segmented turns (level 2), word-level timestamps (level 3), or the call split into prepared remarks and Q&A (level 4).

Levels 2 through 4 require a plan that includes advanced transcripts. Level 1 is available to every paid plan.

Every level also says which call it holds: it carries the exchange, symbol and level, so a stored response still says which call and which shape it is. exchange and symbol come back in upper case however you wrote them.

Parameters#

Your API key.

exchangestringRequired

Stock exchange, e.g. NASDAQ.

symbolstringRequired

Ticker symbol.

yearintegerRequired

4-digit year of the earnings call.

quarterintegerRequired

Fiscal quarter, 1–4. Accepts q1 or Q1 formats too.

levelintegerOptional

Detail level, 1 (default) through 4. Levels 2+ require an Enhanced Transcript plan.

Level 1 — full transcript text#

The default level. Returns the entire transcript as a single string. Available to every plan.

Level 2 — speaker diarization#

Segments the transcript into distinct speaker turns. Each turn carries its own speaker object: always an id, plus name and title when we know them. Requires an Enhanced Transcript plan.

Level 3 — word-level timestamps#

Adds a start time, in seconds, for every word — useful for transcript-aligned playback. words and start_times are parallel arrays: entry i of one belongs to entry i of the other. Requires an Enhanced Transcript plan.

Level 4 — prepared remarks and Q&A#

Splits the call into its two halves: management's prepared remarks and the analyst question-and-answer session. Both are plain text. Requires an Enhanced Transcript plan.

See the Errors page for the full error format. This endpoint can return:

400missing_parameter — Missing exchange, symbol, year, or quarter.400invalid_parameter — A year or level that is not a whole number, or a quarter outside 1–4.401invalid_api_key — Auth failure.403demo_restriction — Demo account requesting a ticker other than AAPL or MSFT on NASDAQ.403plan_restriction — Plan does not include the requested transcript level.404resource_not_found — Transcript not available for the requested call. Also what a level below 1 or above 4 returns.429rate_limit_exceeded — Plan rate limit exceeded.

Plan access#

Level 1 transcripts are available on every paid plan. Levels 2, 3, and 4 require Premium, Ultimate, Ultimate Plus, Seed, Enterprise, or Enterprise Plus.
